Institutional Transplantation

In this study a method is developed for transplanting 'good' or 'desirable' institutions from the one country to the other.
The practice of decision-making about transport infrastructure in six different Western countries (Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, England, the United States and France) is compared, leading to a typology of institutional structures and evaluation of the quality of their decision-making.
The institutional design method developed in this book focuses on the innovative capacities of different national institutional structures and the applicability of their solutions in other countries. |
